With the love only a mother can provide, she wholeheartedly said “ok”. With the help of his mother and step-father, the dream became reality. The first location was opened in 1992, now known as House 1, with modest amenities but big heart. There are magical stories to boot, which our oldest Alumni will often share. Some still feel the welcoming “presence” in the original location upstairs.
Within a few years, Bay Area Recovery Center expanded to two locations, side by side, the second known as House 2, where our headquarters is now located. The next expansion would be a co-ed Outpatient Facility in Webster. Then two more Inpatient locations were added, a private men’s facility known as House 3 and our women’s only facility known as House 4. In the past few years the most recent expansions have been four more Outpatient locations in Clear Lake, Pasadena, Houston/Pearland and The Woodlands. Our Outpatient Locations specialize in Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Supportive Outpatient (SOP) Programs.
Starting from one dream over three decades ago Bay Area Recovery Center has rehabilitated countless loved ones suffering from addiction. BARC has worked to keep Houston and surrounding communities sober for over 30 years. Though we do not only help those who are local, people come from all over the country to seek treatment in our facilities. All walks of life have come through our doors with a spiritual malady and many have left happy, joyous and free from addiction. Joe is a family man and wants nothing more than to provide the resources necessary to bring families back together and help people understand recovery is possible. He has a lovely wife and six beautiful kids and has recently become a grandfather.
