Admissions Process At Bay Area Recovery Centers

What To Expect During The Admissions Process

At Bay Area Recovery Center our team is ready to take your call and answer any questions you might have about our treatment programs or any other questions you might have. They will also guide you through the process from start to finish.

Below is everything you need to know about admissions. From health insurance and who to call if you have questions before you enter a program.

Who can answer questions about our drug and alcohol addiction treatment programs?

The quickest way to get answers is by calling us at the number above. This will take you directly to one of our admissions representatives who can answer questions and start the assessment process.

Alternatively, you can schedule a callback using the form here.

Do You Accept My Insurance?

We accept most insurance carriers. You can start your insurance verification by going to the Insurance Verification page. After your submission,  our team will verify your insurance. Upon verification, one of our team members will give you a call.

Here Is Our Admissions Process

  • Assessment – Our admissions team will begin the assessment process to determine your needs and how best we can help. Our admissions professional will inquire about your substance and past treatment history, any current or past medical issues, current or past mental health issues, family history, and your employment status. They may also ask for any insurance information if you haven’t already provided it. This information is important to determine the best level of care needed for your circumstances and needs. Feel free to ask questions about the program, staff, costs, treatment plans, and the facilities.
  • Insurance – Our team will verify your coverage and eligibility. We will communicate up front any deductible, copays, and coinsurance required by your health insurance. We will contact your health insurance and take charge of the authorization process on your behalf. If you have any questions about how insurance can help pay for treatment or about the managed care process in general, please don’t hesitate to ask.
  • Admissions – Once you have been properly assessed, our admissions team will recommend a course of treatment for your individual needs.  Our team also works closely with you and your family throughout this entire process, while arranging a date and time for your admission.

What to Bring:

  • About 7 days’ worth of clothes (we have laundry facilities on site)
  • Bring all hygiene products (nothing with alcohol, including mouth wash or hand sanitizer)
  • Bring all medications in their original, labeled bottles (No narcotics please)
  • Tobacco products are ok as we have a smoking section.
  • Cell phones are ok but will be held in safe by staff until certain treatment plan goals are achieved.

Do not bring:

  • Weapons
  • Blades
  • Nonprescription medication, or medication not in original containers
  • Illegal substances or mood altering drugs
  • Alcohol of any kind

This Recovery Center is by far the best Recovery place I have ever been, they you about the illness of alcoholism and the solution of the Program of Alcoholics Anonymous in the basic text of Alcoholics Anonymous. As long as your willing, open minded, and honest. You can get what they have of a spiritual awakening/experience. Everyone that works there has been through the house and knows the struggles you are going through and you will be able to relate with you. There is no judgement.

This place is probably the most important place I've ever had the fortune to visit. When I showed up here a year ago, I was bitter, selfish and a shadow of who I thought I was. If you or a loved one needs or wants to make a change, I can't recommend it more. The system they have here and the groups can genuinely help, even if you aren't fully willing, the messages will stick and make a new start possible.

I checked in Bay Area Recovery in May 2023, I went into House 3 for inpatient help with alcohol and drug addiction. What I found at Bay Area is a warm and loving group of people that really care about the clients. It's a family I never knew I had. These people rolled out the red carpet for me and made me feel at home. They showed me how to get sober with the 12-steps of AA and gave me the necessary tools to stay sober, taught me a new way of life. I am eternally grateful to Bay Area Recovery and the staff.
If anyone needs help this is the place to be. Everyone at Bay Area has been through this program and completely understands.
Thanks for everything.

Houses 1 and 3 were both great places to stay.
Bay Area Recovery Center is very thorough and led by seasoned veterans.
I wish I had come here much sooner.

Thank you especially to Billy Smith, Blake Dittman, Joe Becnel, Greg Joinier, and Joe Shipley.
