Hydrocodone Addiction Treatment Program

If you are in Houston, and you are addicted to Hydrocodone, we have the experience and programs you need to get sober once and for all.

Hydrocodone Addiction Is Opiate Addiction

Like most prescription painkillers, the addiction begins with ingestion, and eventually crushed up and snorted. Others might be abusing the cough syrup medication, which also contains codeine or hydrocodone.

It is also common for people to begin coating a joint or blunt with the syrup.

The most dangerous addiction is when someone uses the drug through a needle or combining it with alcohol and other types of prescription pills like , OxyContin, and Percocet.

Other Common or Street Names:

Hydros, Vics, Watsons, 357s, Vicos

Signs Someone Is High On Hydrocodone:

If you think a loved one is abusing their pain medication, here are the tell tail signs they are probably under the influence. They are probably addicted if they are found to be in a good mood when they are taking the drug, but in a depressed or angry mood when they are not.

  • Extremely relaxed
  • Sluggish motor skills
  • Slurring or slowed speech
  • Disorientation
  • Drowsiness
  • Queasiness or vomiting
  • Slowed breathing
  • Depressed heart rate
  • Dizziness
  • Panic, fear and anxiety

Signs of Hydrocodone Addiction:

Addiction becomes obvious when their behavior changes, and eventually they start signs of withdrawal if they stop or run out of Hydrocodone.

  • Suspicious complaints about pain to obtain more medication
  • Pain Medication prescribed by various doctors
  • Always trying to refill prescriptions earlier than allowed
  • Finding pill bottles not prescribed to them or label is missing
  • Changes in temperament as medication is out or running low
  • Changes in spending habits
  • Isolating themselves from others, Like being alone

This is the point where addiction can spiral out of control if the person starts seeking other forms of opiate like heroin and fentanyl on the black market.

This Recovery Center is by far the best Recovery place I have ever been, they you about the illness of alcoholism and the solution of the Program of Alcoholics Anonymous in the basic text of Alcoholics Anonymous. As long as your willing, open minded, and honest. You can get what they have of a spiritual awakening/experience. Everyone that works there has been through the house and knows the struggles you are going through and you will be able to relate with you. There is no judgement.

This place is probably the most important place I've ever had the fortune to visit. When I showed up here a year ago, I was bitter, selfish and a shadow of who I thought I was. If you or a loved one needs or wants to make a change, I can't recommend it more. The system they have here and the groups can genuinely help, even if you aren't fully willing, the messages will stick and make a new start possible.

I checked in Bay Area Recovery in May 2023, I went into House 3 for inpatient help with alcohol and drug addiction. What I found at Bay Area is a warm and loving group of people that really care about the clients. It's a family I never knew I had. These people rolled out the red carpet for me and made me feel at home. They showed me how to get sober with the 12-steps of AA and gave me the necessary tools to stay sober, taught me a new way of life. I am eternally grateful to Bay Area Recovery and the staff.
If anyone needs help this is the place to be. Everyone at Bay Area has been through this program and completely understands.
Thanks for everything.
