CHRISTUS Our Daily Bread takes a holistic approach in pursuing a mission to the homeless—ministering to the needs of the body, mind and spirit of each individual. Staff members and volunteers assist 50 to 75 clients daily in confronting the most common causes of homelessness, such as addictions, mental illnesses and other disabilities. HEAL Africa is dedicated to helping people help themselves. HEAL stands for Health + Education + Action + Leadership. They are based in Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo. This area has been stricken with a war that has taken an estimated 5 million lives since 1998. It has been called the “worst humanitarian disaster since World War II” by the International Rescue Committee. Men, women and children are displaced, attacked, raped and murdered everyday due to neighboring countries vying for the largest mineral wealth in the world. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is a pediatric treatment and research facility located in Memphis, Tennessee. There they house and treat many very young cancer patients whether or not these patients have the ability to pay for said treatment. Please click here to donate.
